Storyline

When Captain Olimar's ship suffers a freak accident and crash-lands on the mysterious, Earth-like planet PNF-404, he is forced to recruit the strange plant-like creatures known as Pikmin to help recover its missing parts. After sending out a desperate SOS along with his voyage logs, Olimar inexplicably vanishes while continuing his search. His distress call reaches the Rescue Corps, an intergalactic rescue organization, which dispatches a team led by Captain Shepherd to save him.
