About Rank and Play
Built by gamers and for gamers. Every rating you submit helps shape the score.
Our story
Our team is located coast to coast, but we all share the same thing in common: video games have always been part of our lives. They were fun, they were challenging, and they were one of the best ways to connect with friends. Over time, we noticed something that never really sat right with us.
A lot of game ratings online feel like a black box. You get a single number, but no real explanation. Sometimes it feels like hype wins, ads win, or the loudest voices win. We wanted something different.
Rank and Play is our attempt to build the kind of community we always wanted to be part of. Every user gets to rate and rank the games they play, and those individual ratings combine to form that game's overall Rank and Play score. No single reviewer, no single opinion, and no marketing budget decides the number, the community does. If a game lands at a 3.8, you should be able to tell whether that is because the story was weak, the gameplay was strong, or the replay value was insane.
The bigger mission is simple. We want to be the NEW gold standard in video ranking. Your rating counts toward the score, your review counts toward the conversation, and your voice moves the needle. Updates and improvements should be shaped directly by user feedback. The forum, the blog, the rating system, and future features are all built to evolve based on what the community actually wants.
If you ever have a feature idea or a change that would make Rank and Play better, we want to hear it. This site is meant to grow with the community, not over it.
What we stand for
- Transparency: Ratings are built from visible factors, not mystery numbers.
- Community first: Features and updates are driven by real user feedback.
- No bias scoring: Every rating you submit blends directly into that game's overall Rank and Play score, not a paid opinion.
- Fun matters: If a game is fun, we want the rating system to reflect that.
