Overview
Malasombra is a retro-inspired action-adventure game developed by 4MHz for the NES. Set in a dark fantasy world inspired by fairy tales and classic legends, players control Pirou, a young magician’s apprentice whose wedding is interrupted by the evil sorcerer Malasombra. After the kingdom is cursed and the princess Astrid is kidnapped, Pirou embarks on an epic journey filled with magic, exploration, puzzles, transformations, and challenging enemies. Storyline
Set in a world of legends and fairy tales, Malasombra offers an epic adventure with a thrilling story where nothing is as it seems. In a beautiful and faraway place, the celebration of the royal wedding between Astrid, the princess of the kingdom, and Pirou, a young apprentice magician, is cut short by the irruption of Malasombra, a sorcerer with a grudge against the king for condemning him to banishment some time ago due to his perfidious advice.
