Storyline

Set during the Cold War and its aftermath, GoldenEye 007 follows James Bond, an agent of the British Secret Intelligence Service. The story opens with a covert operation at a Soviet chemical weapons facility, where Bond and fellow 00-agent Alec Trevelyan infiltrate the site before the mission goes wrong. Years later, Bond is drawn into an investigation surrounding GoldenEye, a space-based weapon capable of firing an electromagnetic pulse that disables electronics across a targeted area.
