Overview

Anarchy Reigns is an online multiplayer brawler, from the makers of Bayonetta and Vanquish, PlatinumGames. Set in the post-apocalyptic future, this is an over-the-top close combat fighting game, set in a massively open and fantastical world. Pick from an imaginative mix of human and cyborg characters and set out on a multiplayer challenge where anarchy reigns. With a diverse range of multiplayer modes on offer, Anarchy Reigns pits players against each other in team co-op or last man standing battles.

Storyline

Anarchy Reigns is a chaotic beat 'em up set in a lawless, post-apocalyptic future and the spiritual successor to MadWorld. Its story unfolds across two parallel campaigns centered on a single manhunt: the fugitive Maximilian Caxton, a former agent who has broken out of custody. On one side is Jack Cayman, a gruff bounty hunter of the Chaser Guild hired to bring Max in; on the other is Leo Victorion, a loyal agent of the Strike One unit who refuses to believe his old mentor is truly a killer. As the two pursue Max through a sprawling open city, their paths repeatedly cross and clash, and the truth behind his fall gradually comes to light.
